Project Manager (Gender & Inclusion)
Mihika Wakhloo is a public health and development professional with over eight years of experience working across nutrition, large-scale staple food fortification, community health, tuberculosis, gender and inclusion, and public health systems in India. Her work focuses on using data, evidence, and programme learning to strengthen public systems and inform equitable policy and practice. Her expertise includes programme management, data and monitoring, quality assurance and regulatory compliance, government engagement, policy advocacy, and capacity building.
She has led large-scale staple food fortification efforts through the Social Safety Net Programme (SSNP) and the open market, driving quality assurance across food industries, delivering technical assistance to partner organisations, coordinating across state governments, and strengthening evidence-informed programme systems. She has also contributed to community TB programming, women's entrepreneurship, and national skill development programmes working with KHPT on GAIN-supported food fortification, REACH under USAID ALLIES on tuberculosis, Empower Foundation on GIZ-supported women's entrepreneurship, and Empower Pragati on government-led skill development programmes.
She holds a Master's in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia, along with an MA in Human Resource Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, and a BA (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Delhi. Beyond work, she continues to explore the intersection of gender, nutrition, and public health and is driven by the belief that equitable systems are built when evidence is paired with the lived experiences of the communities they serve.
